Exactly, the US will cannibalize Europe to keep their own economy afloat.

Didn't US government sign a new agreement with Lockheed Martin to maintain the F-16 jets loaned to Ukraine?

This is Trump adapting his strategy of declaring bankruptcy to the political arena. He made a big deal about how skilled his is, in truth he's a moron and can't deliver, now he's washing his hands of it to avoid embarrassment.

Seems to me that Trump has skillfully outplayed the Europeans at every turn here, and managed to use the threat of Russia in Ukraine to make Europe completely dependent on the US economically. Europeans have now been cut off from cheap Russian energy and are forced to by increasingly large amounts of American LNG, Trump just forced an incredibly unequal deal on the EU, and the EU will be expected to invest close to a trillion into US economy in the coming years. On top of that, the US is actively poaching whatever industry is left in Europe. Eventually, Trump will make a deal with Russia, but Europe will be cannibalized before that happens.

just summed up NATO support for Ukraine

[-] F_State@midwest.social -2 points 4 months ago

NATO support for Ukraine is summed up by a mix of "Liberal Democracies desperate cling to Rules based International Order despite hypocrisies" and "European countries with long history of being invaded and terrorized by Russia oppose countries being invaded and terrorized by Russia"
