Things America will not fund: healthcare, infrastructure, maternity leave

I'm awaiting for Ben Shapiro to die peacefully of natural causes next month so every college gets a statue of Charlie Kirk holding hands with a 3 foot tall mouse like the entrance to Disneyland

If a statue of Charlie Kirk pops up in your area, it should be your duty to make it more accurate by drilling a hole through the neck

earlier this year, from the introducer of the bill above about another bill to ban ‘corporal punishment’ being used on disabled students in schools:

State Senator Shane Jett said during debate on the bill on Tuesday: "This is a top-down, socialist-aligned, ideological, unilateral divorce between parents' ability to collaborate with their local schools to establish a disciplined regimen that incudes corporal punishment. It is in violation of Scripture and ideologically aligned with socialist ideology that should not be part of this body's legislative initiatives." source

I wonder who is getting the contract for all the statues. Make them all out of plaster, paint them gold, get paid what I'm assuming is a huge sum and then skedaddle before they melt in the rain.

I never imagined that "first as tragedy, then as farce" would also apply to Horst Wessel.

The Illuminatus! Trilogy has much to answer for:

The real bread was in the Colossus of Yorba Linda Foundation, which had been successfully raising money for several years to erect a heroic monument, in solid gold and ten feet taller than the statue of Liberty, honoring the martyred former president Richard Milhous Nixon. This monument, paid for entirely by the twenty million Americans who still loved and revered Nixon despite the damnable lies of the Congress, the Justice Department, the press, the TV, the law courts, et al., would stand outside Yorba Linda, Tricky Dicky's boyhood home, and scowl menacingly toward Asia, warning those [slurs] not to try to get the jump on Uncle Sammie. Beside the gigantic idol's right foot, Checkers looked adoringly upward; beneath the left foot was a crushed allegorical figure representing Cesar Chavez. The Great Man held a bunch of lettuce in his right hand and a tape recording in the left. It was all most tasteful . . .
