Keep going and don't relent to your base desire, tough I know but it's worth it. I managed to kick the habit Feb 2022. I approached my GP (UK based) and they put me on patches and a nicotine mist dispenser (to stem cravings). It helped that I was in the right frame of mind to quit. After a three-week dose of the patches, I was done. I haven't picked up a smoke since then.
I was sick and tired of coughing and wheezing. Stairs were my nemesis. I felt as though I needed a defibrillator after ascending some stairs! But now, I can climb stairs without feeling as though I was on the verge of collapsing. I can go to the gym and put in a session without discomfort.
