I see the word “autocratic” thrown around a lot and its usage among EU and other Western leaders confuses me. Europe is definitely not the bastion of “democracy” that it claims to be, especially when France pulled that bullshit after its last election.

"Autocratic" is just the modern way of calling non-westerners uncivilized barbarians. The West is still stuck in its 19th century colonial supremacist mentality.
Yeah colonizers love to flip the script. It's a lot like what we call DARVO in modern day (Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender).
It does look like in the west people are becoming increasingly aware of the mismatch between the narrative and the lived realities of the western system.
But you see, a country doing that if the constitution allows for that is democratic. Because the country is democratic and so the constitution is democratic making the country democratic. Simple liberal math.
