I stopped after they did away with the princess, but after not seeing logical conclusion of the entire affair (guillotine) my disappointment was immense and my day was ruined.

Yup. Chinese ones are more tolerable, they mostly use isekai just to justify MC using Earth idioms, measuring units and so on, and except that they barely even mention it.
Entire genre idea is not bad though, it can be fun if not made by or for the usual neckbeards.

It's not Marxist or anything but it acknowledges that class exists in the world. The protagonist is disabled and has to get help from others. There are many horrible nobles who get their comeuppance in a limited way.
