Are the available sources undocumented so Apple can change them up as needed?

CNN & BBC also work, though longer form / daily as opposed to quick ~hourly updates. (CNBC isn’t too frequent either, and no weekend updates.)

For me, when I ask you to play “news”, it plays the Apple news today podcast.

Siri play Apple News

Nice, thanks! Hearing someone who might also be on NPR

I did not come here for this but thank you anyway...

It’s nice. I like it. And it has no ads.

I listen to it every morning. Comes out weekdays at 7 AM Eastern time. I like the host and, honestly, the intro music. Lol.

I just tried it for the first time and before it played it told me I can say “play npr, or Fox News podcasts or CNN podcasts.” IIRC.

CNN!

Nice, multiple episodes a day, all quick hits. Sometimes just what I’m looking for, tidbits from around the world. Maybe I want e.g. the BBC’s deep dive—30min a couple times a day from Global News Podcast—but other times only looking for a few minutes.

Thanks :)

Maybe Siri just knows my habits and plays what I wanna hear.

Oh yeah, no criticism to you. I’m doing that thing where a comment is taking to anyone curious about the feature. The fact it tries to be “balanced” is interesting.

People blindly rag on Apple assuming things like this can’t be changed from default. Again, that’s not directed at you.

When did Fox start doing news?

heh

They say various words, and occasionally I web search a select portion of those words to learn what they’re upset about :)

Super super interesting when they give a left-ish leaning position “the last word”, makes me wonder if they aren’t 100% right wing (just 97% or something). (Or maybe the audience likes to scoff at the end of certain stories, no idea.) Grains and shakers always needed 🧂
