No, I read it that way too. Every line except "maybe I do, maybe I don't" sounds more robotic.

What did the “voice” say?
The word voice does not always refer to something audible. When describing writing, voice refers to the author's tone, word choice, rhythm, point of view, and so on.
I pity people this stupid. People with this level of stupidity is why Trump is president. Again.
It’s news to me that this strip received a cartoon deal. And the voice said “your intentional misrepresentation of my words was humorous.”
