My name is Suleiman. I'm a young man from Gaza, trying to hold my family together under a sky of fire and hunger. We used to live on a small piece of land with citrus and olive trees. That land, like our home, no longer exists.
Now we live in a tent made of fabric — it doesn’t protect us from the heat, the shrapnel, or the insects. Every day I wake up worrying about food, water, and how to keep my little sister safe. She still asks me, “when will we go home?” I have no answer.
Most of the world has moved on. But we are still here. We are still alive. And we need help to stay that way.
