shrug-outta-hecks He’s literally the Democratic candidate. Don’t really expect much from. Think he’s already done some good just running as an anti-Zionist within the party

I guess this is why you need candidates backed by a real independent party. Otherwise upset wins result in every democratic operative coming to you with hat in hand, telling you all the right words and how they'll help. Even if Zohran is ideologically inclined towards socialism, in practice he will inevitably have to bring along opportunists in order to scale up his campaign.

I think a lot of socialists in the west forget that party building is way way more important than individual candidate wins.

hesitation-2

Wishcasting that once he's elected he'll do a great purge, but this is to be expected.

Yeah, this move makes sense whether Mamdani is communist at heart or AOC2. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. Any contributions or inside info Mamdani can get by accepting to Dem insiders are contributions that other Dem-favored candidates don't get as they move toward the general election. I'd be more concerned that any Dem-associated help he gets are simply accepting roles of saboteurs.

this is just an opinion video based on two consultants he hired. Which I agree is pretty awful. And the "NYC Union beauracracy" thry're referring to appears to be one SEIU employee?

Has anyone contacted people working on his campaign about this, or the NYC DSA?

He was in the democratic primary idk what ppl expected. He’s normalizing support for palestine amongst libs and pushing for policies that will help people and if they pass the rest of the dem establishment will pretend they were always in favor of it and maybe we’ll see those policies spread across the country.

Mamdani is not leading the revolution. This is harm reduction and I’m glad for that in the current hellscape. We must stay vigilant and continue to fight but it doesn’t mean we can’t prefer the obviously better option of shitty choices.

Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.
