Same here. It started happening after SteamOS 3.7 update. People say Decky Recorder plugin from Decky Loader works well, but I didn't bother to try myself.
Ah, I see. So the issue is on Valves end? I'll probably give it a few more weeks/a month or two. Hopefully Valve would have addressed this by then. Thanks for your help and time.
Not sure what's with the downvotes, but I've had the same problem for quite a while. Especially after sleep to be precise. It also tends to eat up the battery quite a bit.

These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.
