What's new in this release:

  • Optional EGL backend in the X11 driver.
  • Support for Bluetooth Low Energy services.
  • Moreover support for generating Windows Runtime metadata in WIDL.
  • ARM64 builds enabled in Gitlab CI.
  • Various bug fixes.

Binary packages for various distributions will be available from the respective download sites.

"WINE" stands for "WINE Is Not an Emulator". I personally think (no confirmation) that in the past it stand for "WINdows Emulator", and after lot of discussion they might have changed it. Peace out.

It's so cool that the projects around Wine, and Wine itself, are so active! If we want to attract more people, we need to have more games and other programs that people like to run out of the box.
