J/k I really am grateful for all you do (I just had to poke fun of this post coming from a mod?! :-P)
Only for a couple months and even then... I think I've taken maybe 2 official actions. Hardly counts, but I get you.
Realistically, you are being grateful to the entire community - making posts, commenting and (UP-!)voting on them, having respectful discussions, keeping things civil, and most importantly keeping this a place that people WANT to come to.
And damn yes that's worth celebrating! ππ

Really, this is the house that Stamets built. The community at large is why I was willing to help fill in for Stamets and FlyingSquid. So yes, this post is meant for you posters/commenters and not some self congradulatory nonsense. Thank you all.

FlyingSquid left Lemmy entirely. He was having some personal stresses ongoing and social media wasn't conducive to a healthy mindset so he left. Might be back, not sure

No problem! You know, when i was first approached by stamets, null, that guy, and the maneuver I initially hesitated. Who was I to run such a grand vision? But then i thought about it and i realized, you know what, I'm just making this up.

Just do like i do. I only post when someone inspires me. Usually itβs just some silly comment that gives me an equally silly idea. No pressure here though. Less content usually means higher quality content.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags.
Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
