Is this any good?
Depends what you're looking for. If you're in the market for high-res graphics, amazing soundtracks, animations etc, I highly recommend Firaxis's Civ-V-like game, "Civilization V".
If you want a small, fast, moddable, FOSS, in-depth 4X that can still run on a potato, you've come to the right place :)
The only game I have on my phone! Such a great time sink when you're stuck on a train.
I have tried FreeCiv before, it's a nice clone of the Civ-3 experience.
Will need to check this one out to see how it compares.
Started playing with deciv-redux mid and it's a nice change of pace from vanilla, brutally hard though. Instead of money you manage water and it's very limited, so you have to ration it hard, and it makes upkeep cost really important when constructing any new building or unit
