For the link thing, there is a link. It's available in the dedicated cross-post section under each post (in the default UI) or in the dedicated menu for apps

As far as why I don't also post it in the body, here's a previous reply I made:

Nah, for one, that "cross-posted from" thing is dumb AF when there's a dedicated UI button/link that automatically shows when a link is detected elsewhere on the Lemmy-verse.

Adding a low-friction link like that runs counter to that.
