relevance and poppulation quantity are different things tho. nations stay relevant by providing safe and stable environments for science and economy and supporting neighbours and less fortunate nations.
That's a good point. Still, I'd say that the larger a population, the more it is likely that such a place will appear somewhere within that population to replace the current ones.
Yeah all lines fall off a cliff due to climate change. More people just means more bodies to clean up or not clean up from weather events or the pandemics coming after 2030.
Assuming the current trends pretty much continue, which they are guaranteed not to.
Can't happen soon enough. The irrelavence, not neccessarilly all the "o m gee they out-number us!!" non-sense. Let's hope they have a better time of it than India, but its not looking good, thanks to ... US and European interference!
