You have no idea how much I raged when I learned how much those stupid fucking starlink satellites will do to the ozone I even remember asking myself if polluting LEO with hundreds of satellites made of aluminium would have an effect of the ozone layer turns out a huge one

Conrail should have continued as the government owning the rail and letting the other railroads use the track. As in, Amtrak should have been the rolling stock, and Conrail should have been the rail. It was not a nationwide railroad, but that owning it was the right thing to do. Selling it was the wrong thing to do. The government is constantly spending money with the railroads to maintain the rail and do upgrades.
