yea, GOP ideology is pretty much:
racism against non-whites is either nonexistent, or good, or "eehhhh whattayagonnado"
while anything that aims to prevent any kind of racism = anti-white racism (see: DEI)

The interesting thing about this is that’s what it CAN feel like for someone stuck in a right wing lifestyle.
Maybe not so explicitly, but when you’ve built your life around an ideology, anything that threatens the ideology actually threatens your entire sense of self.
Then, oh, I dunno, maybe don't base your identity on a group who claims as one of their core value something abhorrent like racism? 🤷♂️
I totally agree, but let’s not ignore that a lot of children are raised by their parents to think that way. It takes a LOT of self introspection to throw off your family’s culture.
I know because it was very difficult to leave the religion I grew up in, even though I always really knew that it was wrong deep down.
