TrueNAS systems with Apps should be upgraded immediately to 24.10.2.2, before June 1st! [...]

After June 1st, Cobia and Dragonfish users with Kubernetes Apps will need to manually back up and restore their application data and configuration to a new Electric Eel installation. The manual update process is more complex and should be avoided.

Even the version number looks like an IP address

Imagine versioning in IPv6 notation 😅

Just upgrade the day before yesterday from 23 to 25 with a lot of truechart apps the TrueNAS apps were an absolute breeze. Truecharts not so much. The biggest part of preparing is the backup as you won't be able to access your kubernetes config after the update so get the deployment files as yaml and don't forget that you might need more like ingress rules or kubernetes secrets (looking at you homarr)

I've had 3 separate occasions where truenas scale has updated and broke my entire setup. let me know when they finally reach stable and I might switch from fedora server.
