For anyone curious about what the falling out between the Chinese investors and the Mohawk Energy group was, it appears that the investor signed a contract to lease the facility and paid a substantial amount above/ahead of their contract but that Mohawk Energy didn't get the facility operational (possibly at all but certainly not at the energy cost specified in the contract). I only skimmed the very beginning of the introduction but it's here if anyone wants it: https://jusmundi.com/en/document/pdf/other/en-hbtpower-limited-v-mohawk-energy-llc-demand-for-arbitration-tuesday-5th-december-2023
I assume Mohawk thought they'd be able to get whatever power rate they wanted due to the Senator's backing, and anyone that's been paying attention to this had it made painfully clear why you shouldn't sign long term fixed energy cost contacts to mining operations after the Texas debacles.

Wait wait wait....these dumbfucks did this again?
lol. lmao, even.
Not as far as I know, but the contract between the Chinese investor & Mohawk Energy stipulated provided energy at a a specific average cost. So I think they promised they could and then got told to get lost by the power companies.
gotta hand it to Nina McCoy of Inez for seeing and articulating the pattern through the patter.
people shit on Appalachians as backwards, but many I have come to know have first hand and multigenerational experience of exactly what entrepreneurs do and the role liberals play in accommodating them.
people who still buy into that "job creator" bullshit are the real fuckin' rubes.
