Came here for this and was not disappointed!

May has just begun, let's try and beat those numbers.

Canadians have been avoiding US travel in response to Trump's policies on tariffs and annexation.

And the whole ICE gestapo thing.

[-] [email protected] 5 points 3 weeks ago

Yes. Always remind them of the guestapo.

How does a boycott "get intense"? It's explicitly the absence of activity.

[-] [email protected] 16 points 3 weeks ago

Well, there have been consistent drops in the number of returnees each month. So as such, our absence INTENSIFIES.

You SLAMMED that article good!

Seriously though came here for this, article headers are so dumb

Let’s see if that title can be the same for May, than again June, than July, and so on and so forth. September will be the real be the real test to see what the snowbirds do.

Friendly note that both your uses of "than" should be "then". "Then" indicates the sequence of events, as in I went to the coffee shop and then the mall. "Than" is used for comparison, as in apples are better than oranges.

Thank you I am fairly sure I was pity passed my two of the three 100 level english classes I took.

European here, what happens in September? What is a snowbird?

[-] [email protected] 5 points 3 weeks ago

Canadians that travel to the US South (Florida, Arizona) for the winter.

[-] [email protected] 4 points 3 weeks ago

Thanks, I wouldn't call a bird that migrates south during the winter a snowbird (ok, also not a beachbird) so that clarifies why I was confused.

Need it to be 100% (I know, it will Never be a 100% but one can wish).

[-] [email protected] 4 points 3 weeks ago

Believe it or not, but there's people that really just don't give a fuck about anything but themselves (which is kind of ironic, really) and want to visit and buy US shit and they don't care about what trump is doing.

Fodder for leopards ate my face I guess.

We're doing our yearly Montreal - Winnipeg drive this summer.

We usually stop in Chicago for 3 days on the way back. This won't be happening. I miss Chicago, but it's really not worth getting my rights violated at the US border.

My contribution will come in June, when I was supposed to go to the US for work.

Before retiring, I was looking at converting a van for living in full time. Quartzite, AZ is a popular place with nomads. Now, it's just too risky for a Canadian. Oh well, Trump saved me the trouble of obtaining a passport.
