Disagree, there are plenty of reasons why we need to do this to prevent worse situations from happening.
You can't just relocate every single animal that causes problems for humans, that causes problems elsewhere in the ecosystem.

Nah, too many people carelessly leave out smell attractors and feed the animals. We could reduce many points of conflict when we address those issues.
Humans have no right to murder living sentient beings, especially when bears are dying out in North America.
That doesn't change the fact that once an animal gets used to finding its food in human areas, that it becomes a danger to humans. Prevention needs to come first, and if that fails, relocation is second...but if that's not possible, or the animal keeps coming back...then what else can you do?
A particularly ridiculous point made in the article was claiming that it's ok to feed bears in need, as long as the food is natural. That is absolute bullshit. All you're doing is making that bear dependent on humans. If it gets food from one house all the time, what do you think it's going to do if those people go on vacation? It's going to try other houses, and possibly get aggressive if it doesn't find what it's looking for.
Conservation workers aren't just trigger happy assholes, looking for any excuse to shoot animals.
This article is complete trash and full of nonsense.
We would like changes to BC law to allow rehabilitation of bears of all ages, not just cubs.
Obviously knowing anything about conservation and rehabilitation is not a requirement for writing at this site. Adult animals cannot be rehabilitated, only relocated.
In my area there’s an unwritten rule that nobody calls conservation and nobody talks to them if they come sniffing around.
Instead, conservation rangers should obviously shoot people that get in bears' way /s.
