This got me to find a stream for The Thick of It, and one minute in Peter Capaldi has already called someone "useless as a marzipan dildo". Thank you for this gift.
Oh that show is wonderful if you like angry swearing, Malcolm Tucker is a master. After the show they made a film called ‘In The Loop,’ it’s more of Malcolm and one of James Gabdolfini’s last roles (he’s an American General and kills it).

If Steven Moffat had written Cause and Effect, it would have skipped to the crew escaping the time loop with no explanation; and if you asked him how they got out of it, he'd just laugh at you for caring.
(ETA: I feel like I should be clear that I'm not a fan of Moffat.)
