Using AI to make anti-billionaire media is ironic in a kind of satisfying way, honestly. Turn their weapons against them!

[-] [email protected] 14 points 4 weeks ago

Unless it's run on a local machine, the billionaires are still getting money

User Numbers = Venture Capitalists. They don't need to see immediate profit to invest. They just need to see a user base and a feasible plan to make profit. See Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, InstaCart and most infamously MoviePass.

The billionaires are winning that battle, but losing the war. (Hopefully.)

Edit: If you can do $0.25 in billionaire economic damage with $0.10 in AI credits, you have won. I think this is entirely feasible, and simply needs scale.

???? Bad argument for the use of AI.

Ai is shit. It makes shit. It's powered by precious fresh water and it wastes monumental amounts of electricity. And y'know, the massive amounts of theft.

All to what? Generate some soulless bullshit?

If you're making art to defy the rich, maybe actually make the fucking art yourself? Instead of making empty, lifeless facsimilies of resistance art?

Mr. Rich over here doesn't have any $0 notes. Must be nice.

[-] [email protected] 5 points 4 weeks ago

I just learned the fun fact that some countries do actually have $0 notes. It's to discourage authorities from taking bribes

Zero-rupee notes are the creation of a non-governmental organization known as 5th Pillar

I may be nit picking; this is very interesting regardless. But I wouldn't say "India has zero rupee notes". Someone printed these to make a point. You or I could print zero notes for our countries too if we wanted.

99% of the world's problems could be meaningfully dealt with if we got rid of billionaires .... and the biggest problems we'd be dealing with after them would be trying to solve interstellar travel. Instead we're fighting wars to try to figure out which small group of idiots get to own all the imaginary money in the world.

[-] [email protected] 5 points 4 weeks ago

Yep. 90% of the world’s brightest minds are dedicated to ad optimization, not actually useful technology.

If we had simply put our resources towards spaceflight or, I dunno, solving world hunger, it would be done by now. But the “invisible hand” optimizes for greed and money, not real progress.

Dude could make just enough effort to type a prompt into a billionaire's machine but not make their own art.

Fucking sad

this is much better… but really, what does the image do to communicate the written message?
it’s incoherent… guy with a suit and hat, pointing, mad, and a pile of money?

i guess the suit guy is “billionaires”? at the very least he should be ugly and obese… maybe chewing a cigar?
him pointing means blame?

What's with the watermark?

I live in Ireland and the billionaires have ravaged this country, and now they're desperately trying to blame immigration. And they're right,we should be sending any immigrate with more than €2billion back where they came from

[-] [email protected] 2 points 4 weeks ago

U/spez doesn’t appreciate you putting his logo over the word billionaires.

Also what’s with all the idiotic infighting over AI? I think we’re at a point where resistance is required and we’ve got bigger fish to fry

[-] [email protected] 1 points 4 weeks ago

The billionaires want immigrants from poor nations because they're less likely to unionize or demand higher wages.

And they changed the meaning of middle class by calling well paid workers middle class, so the working class is divided and these well educated and high paid workers are less likely to organize with the low wage workers against the interest of the billionaires.

The old meaning of middle class is wealthy people who make money from capital but have no noble title, aka the bourgeoisie. If you have to work to make a living then you are in the working class doesn’t matter if you earn 6 figures.
