Wow, you don't even use Pleco?
Jk lol but I think Pleco is all one needs. Years ago when I was learning Chinese I found that the most important part of learning 汉字 well (apart from reading and by reading I mean 读 not 看) is writing a lot. Because of the strict stroke order, repeated writing of the same character kind of burns it into your mind and you can't forget it anymore.
Of course everyone is different and there are many people in China who can't really write and only know 拼音 on their smartphone so I'm probably wrong but I will keep saying it.
funnily enough my teacher said that's how they learn in schools in china
I still don't like/don't understand ankidroid
If I say a card was difficult or medium, showing it to me immediately, like literally the next card repetaed, is stupid
Also if it's always showing you the words immediately afterwards then that means the settings probably need tweaking, shouldn't happen unless it's one of the last few words.
