The company I work for just started calling the same portion of our organization something like community outreach and connection.

The place I work at renamed DEI to something similar and increased the funding to it by 30% to show that they weren’t letting it die, they just wanted to avoid fallout by changing the name.

I thought it was corporate bullshit, but they are hosting more LGBTQ events and more initiatives, so seems fine for now…

So… COC? Nice.

Aren't all corporations in the states being forced to eliminate these initiatives or face ridiculous law suits?

Nope, I work for a pretty big US based corporation and they specifically said they would not touch and actually defend their DEI initiatives if it ever had to come to that.

Netflix (as far as I know) also kept them as well as some others

Corporations that are falling in line do so willingly and should. be called out for it.

I’m glad to hear Netflix is pushing back

I’ve got friends there who are awesome people. I’m canceling my subscription for now due to the trade war, but we’ll see how things go.

I’m canceling everything US based for a full broadside.

No they're using threats from Trump that have no legal backing as an excuse to remove initiatives that don't actually want in the first place.

Plenty of places are actively and publicly leaving their DEI programs in place without any issue.
