You know what gives me stress? Websites that reinvent scrolling.

[-] BuboScandiacus@mander.xyz 18 points 1 month ago

This^

It's the most frustrating thing that I encountered today

[-] brsrklf@jlai.lu 4 points 1 month ago

Oh shit. I probably would have thought that site didn't work and I would have given up immediately if I hadn't read that comment.

I think I both love and hate that.

I spent a couple of minutes on that website, but I still don't understand what it wanted me to do

[-] fmstrat@lemmy.nowsci.com 1 points 1 month ago

That page was made for Firefox's Reader Mode. Sheash.

[-] oce@jlai.lu 32 points 1 month ago

Damn, I didn't know Reuters produced this kind of graphical article, it is really cool.

[-] i_am_not_a_robot@feddit.uk 15 points 1 month ago

Just as a point of interest, it doesn't work properly in the Android version of Firefox. Use Chrome.

[-] oce@jlai.lu 4 points 1 month ago

Also a bit buggy in Firefox desktop on Linux.

[-] fmstrat@lemmy.nowsci.com 1 points 1 month ago

I switched to Reader Mode. So annoying.

I recently bought Dredge because I thought it was a cozy fishing game with some relaxed adventure bits. Oh was I silly.

[-] chaospatterns@lemmy.world 16 points 1 month ago

Personally, I've been enjoying cozy games like Dorfromantik, Rail Route, or even Transport Fever 2 (I just play with unlimited money and build great transit networks that I wish existed in my home country.)

you might be interested in !cozygames@lemmy.world then

That was a shitty website. I don't even remember why I clicked the link. The page jump around while you scroll down. I thought I was at the bottom PF the page at least 3 time.

[-] daggermoon@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

What browser were you using? I had the same issue.

I'm using Fennec which is pretty much the same thing so that tracks.

It's so cute uggghhhhh

Cozy games stress me out and give me anxiety.

[-] ImplyingImplications@lemmy.ca 24 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Screw anyone who says Stardew Valley is a cozy game. If I don't water my plants they die! If I stay up too late I'll lose money! I can't get the fish I need unless I fish at 6pm in the mountain lake on a rainy Tuesday in winter! Abigail has once again dominated me at the egg hunt! Ahhhhh!

[-] OozingPositron@feddit.cl 12 points 1 month ago

And the days go by so fucking fast, I swear rainbow six siege is less stressful.

[-] flightyhobler@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

Thank you guys. I feel validated!!

[-] dustyData@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

I say this with all the kindness in my heart. If stardew valley estresses you out, then the problem is not the videogame. Your perfectionism and minmaxing POV might be what's causing the anxiety and you would feel anxious and estressed in most other activities as well.

[-] LunarLoony@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 1 month ago

I have had many thoughts along the lines of "how can I fully optimise my cellar" and "dino eggs are worth more money than dino mayo" and it just sucks all the wonder out of the game

[-] dustyData@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

We call those intrusive thoughts. The answers are literally meaningless. There's no punishment or failure state on stardew valley, it cannot hurt you. Full optimization is not something that exist in or has any impact on the game at all.

[-] cyberpunk007@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 month ago

Animal crossing during COVID was a huge relief.

[-] Jackhammer_Joe@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

Helldivers 2 is my goto cozy game <3

[-] H_dev@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 month ago

nothing beats journey in that regard, whenever life seems overwhelming I go back to that game as therapy
