Nice to know I hadn't been saving all those different size keyrings for nothing. Fast fashion? Not on my watch.

Glad there was no banana for scale.

Be careful that she's not sensitive to the metal. A lot of metal items contain nickel or tin that can cause an allergy-like reaction called contact dermatitis if left in contact with the skin for a long time.

Some people are more sensitive to it than others so maybe it will be fine, but I sure wouldn't want a surprise in my underwear

Better than a zip tie though. Probably what I would've done.

I mean it's all fun and games until they accidentally turn their jams into a keychain, some heat shrink would stop both.

The charm at the front is a nice touch. Did you bevel the end of the split ring to make sure it doesn't scratch?

[-] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago

That's what was originally holding the ends together but the other side failed.

Should have used a karabiner 😏

How about a sturdy 10 mm lynch pin? When it snaps into place, you’ll know it.

A hose clamp would've been more my alley.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

The hose clamp is for fixing your undergarments.

We need proof that this actually works as claimed.

[-] [email protected] 45 points 3 months ago

Yeah OP, show us a picture of you wearing it!

[-] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago

Careful what you ask for.

I was facecious, but being good with your hands is a cool skill, so it's not entirely untrue.

Every post I make in this community gets a comment like this. Apparently, my life is too boring to interest anyone - yet somehow also too interesting for the Dull Men's Club. It’s like I’m living in a liminal space.

I think its simply the difference between different peoples lives and their views on life. Someone who grew up on a ranch will find the big city insanely cool and unique while the ranch is just everyday life for them. But then if a city-dweller visits the ranch their experience of it will be much better.

Right away.

Make sure she doesn’t put it right out of the dryer.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

Or make sure she does, if that's her thing.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

No lady in her right mind puts underwear in the dryer.

[-] [email protected] 7 points 3 months ago

You know I've never literally ripped off some panties before... Thanks for the tip OP

If it's uncomfortable maybe you could sew something over the metal?

An unofficial chapter of the popular Dull Men's Club.

1. Relevant commentary on your own dull life. Posts should be about your own dull, lived experience. This is our most important rule. Direct questions, random thoughts, comment baiting, advice seeking, many uses of "discuss" rarely comply with this rule.

2. Original, Fresh, Meaningful Content.

3. Avoid repetitive topics.

4. This is not a search engine
Use a search engine, a tradesperson, Reddit, friends, a specialist Facebook group, apps, Wikipedia, an AI chat, a reverse image search etc. to answer simple questions or identify objects. Also see rule 1, “comment baiting”.

There are a number of content specific communities with subject matter experts who can help you.

Some other communities to consider before posting:

5. Keep it dull. If it puts us to sleep, it’s on the right track. Examples of likely not dull: jokes, gross stuff (including toes), politics, religion, royalty, illness or injury, killing things for fun, or promotional content. Feel free to post these elsewhere.

6. No hate speech, sexism, or bullying No sexism, hate speech, degrading or excessively foul language, or other harmful language. No othering or dehumanizing of anyone or negativity towards any gender identity.

7. Proofread before posting. Use good grammar and punctuation. Avoid useless phrases. Some examples: - starting a post with "So" - starting a post with pointless phrases, like "I hope this is allowed" or “this is my first post” Only share good quality, cropped images. Do not share screenshots of images; share the original image.
