Sickening to see that mass graves can be made, children can be beheaded and burned to death and thousands of people can lose their lives and people in The Netherlands don't give two shits. There is no red line for the government and there is none for the population either. Complicit in genocide once again. And just like WW2 in a few years everyone will be 'resistance'.

[–] [email protected] 26 points 2 weeks ago

The Allied Powers didn't even care about the death camps either. They had the opportunity to bomb the railroads leading to them and didn't take it.

These western countries committed such terrible atrocities but managed to be correct one (1) time, and jangle the keys above everybody's heads now.

The US didn't even want to intervene in the war until they realized they had a vested interest in the Nazis losing because of how much money they loaned out to those allied powers.

The amount of genocide, colonization, war crimes, coupes and slave labor the west has committed shows that they never cared about human rights, but they will gladly pretend they do for optics when it benefits them.

Since israel resumed bombing I have been in a weird place. Everytime I hear about a new atrocity I just start asking "why isnt anyone doing anything?"

I get that Russia has deep ties with the zionist entity and they wont do anything and I get that most of the other global south nations have their own problems.

But what is China doing? Why can't they do something? Cant they throw their weight around? What good is a socialist super power if they won't step in to stop a clear cut genocide? I know it could cause WW3 but why is fighting that war now to stop the genocide not the same as fighting it in a decade to protect themselves from american aggression over tiawan? WW3 is coming either way.

Am I crazy for thinking there are fucking liberals pushing Chinese policy on this? I can just imagine there are some snakes spreading the idea that intervening against israel is a bad idea and denying the fact that america is a rabid dog that needs to be cured with lead and denying that eventually america will come for them so it is better to choose the time and place it happens. These fucking snakes will deny that usa will start a war right up to the moment the bombs blow up their homes.

I go into this angry confused spiral for like 10 minutes and then I go dig in the garden or play video games so my brain doesn't melt out my ears.

I just hope the fucking zionists start their ground invasion again so the resistance can get to making some more catharsis videos. Ground troops aren't as effective at genocide as air raids and isisrael needs to remember that they are fucking muppets in comparison with the Dandelions.

With how much of my free time I devote to going to the gym in order to maintain physical health it dawned on me how unhealthy regular life is if this effort is required.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Anticommunists give Soviet urban planning a lot of shit, but with regular maintenance they seem to be great places to live. Sturdy houses with lots of green, walkable, social services, stores and recreation nearby and great public transport connections. In my city they just build new neighborhoods without including anemities and public transport options

[–] [email protected] 16 points 2 weeks ago

I went to Latvia and had spent several days living in the much hated commie blocks. They could use some upkeep for sure but the entire area was green with parks, playgrounds, shops, water, benches, gardens etc. Public transport nearby which would have you in the city center in no time. They beat every single urban design out there, 60 years after being build.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 weeks ago

Pretty impossible to beat development that prioritized user comfort over market value profits yadayada. I hope to see more of that in my lifetime. Still gives me the warm fuzzies to see a well built public service building.

I work at a lefty org but they required me to work nearly 7 hours straight before a lunch break today. Practice what you preach and such.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 2 weeks ago

To be honest I never followed h3h3 ever since I grew out of the ripe age of 13 so to now see him conflicting with some youtuber I watch for supporting a genocide has me shocked at the state of him lol. Man is down bad bad.

I've thought for some time that the US has no real culture (other than maybe some pockets of it in the south / from marginalized groups in the south or elsewhere). But I'm starting to think it and the west in general does have a kind of culture; the culture is being controlling and destructive. Each time a westerner destroys something, they get a sense of pride and power from having been able to make that decision; whether it made sense as a decision is less important than the fact that they were able to make it.

I don't know, maybe I'm just describing a facet of colonizer "culture" with different words.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Imo a culture does exist, but it's based on the same individualist and consumerist fallacies as the rest of society. What's missing is community and respect, among other things ofc.

The historic/legacy countries do have some of that as a remnant, but the manufactured countries like USA AU etc are just "let's make neoliberalism our culture"

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

The west is so capitalism pilled, it's stupid. A fun thought to let wild is wondering if it has anything to do with the fundamental differences between western and eastern religion, where western religion is more top-down (monotheistic god saving individuals directly) and eastern religions are more bottom-up (unlocking oneself and raising others up through it)

Gas became cheaper in my area due to tarrifs dropping oil prices. Trump actually has a positive effect on me so far.

Naturally, I feel incredibly wealthy being able to share the wonderful sun and weather. Gives me hope.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago

I downloaded a no recommendations browser extension for YouTube, I should have done that sooner. Final reason is clicking on an anti-SJW video that had a title that sounded slightly leftist.

Since tensions are escalating, do I need to start prepping?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

I always laughed at the idea but tbh better safe than sorry I guess. At least get a noodpakket like the government says. Can't hurt anyone with that. Maybe some canned food and some water bottles to last you a week or so if shit happens.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

Its a good idea I'd say, get your papers if you're an American perhaps observe the exit options for yourself and family even if its not the plan rn

How do you read theory? Do you make notes, do you use pen and paper, or some kind of digital format? I want to seriously read and retain as much information as I can. Do you have any suggestions? Would you like to share your methods? Thanks comrades!

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 weeks ago

making notes is usually the best. for some popular materials there are also usually study guides with questions to help you test your understanding. personally i just highlight interesting passages

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 weeks ago

Taking notes is important unless your memory is extremely good. If I had an e-reader with a touch screen, I'd use that to highlight important sections, but right now I just take notes in a text editor. You could also use a highlighter pen on a physical book or a print-out

I'm still making my Internet forum, but I don't know if I want it to be a Marxist-Leninist forum anymore.

I want it to be... Idk, maybe a left unity one? But I hate that.

Maybe more open to non-Marxists, idk.

Maybe not even about Marxism or leftism...

What do y'all think?
