I have a lib friend who literally says this. To paraphrase them, hospitals or bombs, it's all imperialism. I laughed in their face when they first said that to me, and to be fair they did conceded that it sounded stupid

They once did a sit in protest when they was a student (protesting the mandatory student fees that the Tories introduced) many years ago and therefore considers themself to be very radical. In their words they can't get behind communism because they like shopping too much. I needle them about communism constantly though and I'm hoping they'll eventually see the light.
