Watching the senator stand for so long, give real, raw emotion to his speech, and his call for the American People to rise up and take action really friggin got me today.

I drive by a planned parenthood every now and then and there are ALWAYS people with anti-abortion signs outside of it. I knew I’d be driving by it again today.

And I knew I had had enough of it.

I made a sign during my lunch break - My Body. My Choice - and then promptly showed up after work. I stood by myself with my sign across from the anti-abortion schmucks.

When they tried to engage / argue, I chanted as loud as I could over them “MY BODY. MY CHOICE”

When traffic died down and it was quieter, I chanted as loud as I could in their direction “MY BODY. MY CHOICE”

Sometimes I added a little fun flare by following up my chant with “and if anyone says otherwise they are a FASCIST BASTARD”

Those fascists didn’t know what to do lmaoooo they packed up early.

Someone randomly walked up to me to ask if they could join me the next time I counter protest, and said they will bring friends too. I also got to let him know about 50501 and some local organizing groups in the community!

It just takes one person. Because then another shows up. Then another. And before you know it, we’ve got millions in every corner of our beautiful nation rising up, saying NO MORE.

I think it’s important to share these stories. Even if not an “official” 50501 protest, I still felt all of you with me, spanning far and wide across the nation.

Love and solidarity. Let’s make April 5th unforgettable!!!

I transport patients to their appointments and often wait in the car for a few hours. The protesters seem to leave early whenever they hear Hasa Diga Eebowai and the Captain Underpants theme song more than once.
