It's actually pretty hard to find any recent Australian songs that fit the mould of a Eurovision pop song!

Digging that funky bass line!

Thanks!

All your nominations have a Eurovision pop song flair? Is that a lemmyvision rule?

Haha, really? I'm definitely applying some broad Eurovision-related criteria - e.g. featuring prominent vocals of some kind, a bit unusual in some way, preferably has a video clip, etc. But I wouldn't call the songs I nominated by MUDRAT, Gurridyula, the Wiggles, and TISM 'pop songs'!

Is that a lemmyvision rule?

Certainly not! I just like Eurovision and finding weird music. Trying to find a Eurovision-formula pop song from an Australian artist is just kind of a sub-goal I've set for myself as part of finding Lemmyvision nominations.

The song in this post ('Boundaries') is relatively 'normie' stuff. If anyone can recommend a way of finding recent Australian pop - especially on the weirder/'alternative' side - I'm all ears!

Telling stories of Australia through music.

With few exceptions, Australian acts are permitted to have one hit in the US charts, then fall out of the international limelight.

Those acts however often have lots of other cool songs!

There are also several Australian acts that just aren't famous globally.
