May I suggest this is news in exactly one household around the time of Christmas dinner and perhaps not... you know, the World? I'd suggest that to the BBC, too.
While I agree with you, this news made me (a non American) smile. So I am glad it reached the world I am in.
It reminds the rest of us there are sane American's, so thank you Mr Vance for that.

Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
