Because that's definitely how to make effective use of CDC resources now

Publish your findings to a quality, peer reviewed journal. I dare you.

Sure, let's ignore all the other studies in the past about this and do it again. /s

Shifting blame before people learn it's for a large part fossil fuel pollution causing autism, and the administration is going to do more drill baby drill.

That assumes there's an increase in the prevalence of autism vs an increase in the awareness of the prevalence of autism. I.E. did it actually increase or does it just look that way because we have better diagnostic criteria and no longer shove people into institutions to hide them from the world (as much).

Got any evidence of that? IIRC, agricultural fields have been correlated with autism, but I am not aware of any specifically tying it to petrochemicals.

This time the results will be right.

Trust level in results: 0

Folks they dont care about the results. They're just trying to erode public trust in institutions.

False, they've already decided what the result is going to be. The research is to give them data points to cherry pick and present to the public.

This works either way. The idiots will say, "See! You can't trust the CDC!". Or, in case they find vaccines causing autism, "Now the CDC is coming out with great results since Trump/Musk took over!"

OTOH, I'm not sure why they're bothering. Maybe this is a legit CDC initiative to combat misinformation and not the administration's idea?

And here we are, in a world where I don't know whether to trust the CDC. Fuck me.
