just a bit of critical thinking would have prevented 700 of prison time, a drop of common sense
Forty years of attacks on education alongside a rise in right wing brainwashing. What a "coincidence"
But see if republicans had a drop of common sense, they never would've elected such a massive piece of fucking shit as president.
All those years of defunding education is finally paying off.
It's almost as if people forgot George W Bush existed
“We’re going to win so much you’re gonna get tired of winning”
He is a man of his word!
You get a prison sentence! And you get a prison sentence! And you! And you! EVERYONE gets a prison sentence!
Most getting only 2 years…. So low, why?
Indeed. Treason will net you the noose in many countries.
Didn't one of your presidents famously shoot someone for treason?
From what I understand, the movie Swordfish started that rumor
This is remarkay good information. Thanks.
Complicity within the legal system.
I find that noteworthy in a good way.
Usually the pawns get the book thrown at them and the people pulling the strings either get off Scott free or get a also on the wrist. I'm hopeful to see what the crooks at the top will get.
A good start.
I can't believe zip tie guy just got 5 years. That's some bullshit. He goes into the capital with zip ties, so obviously ready to participate in kidnapping, and gets off with 5 years? Petty drug offenses have resulted in far stiffer punishments. Fuck that guy. He should be under the jail.
I don't disagree, but the drug offenses shouldn't condone harsher sentences. It should be the opposite. No one should see serious time for petty drug offenses. The prison industrial complex is a massive issue.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
But even as his indictments have landed, we’ve seen some of the longest prison sentences yet for those wrapped up in his “big lie” alleging that election was stolen.
The longest was handed down Tuesday in the case of former Proud Boys leader Henry “Enrique” Tarrio, who received a record 22-year sentence for seditious conspiracy.
Tarrio and other high-profile defendants involved in the storming of the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, have often confronted their legal fate by pointing a finger at Trump.
But Trump is charged with somewhat similar crimes, including running a criminal enterprise (as alleged in Georgia) and conspiring both to defraud the United States and to deprive people of their right to have their votes count (in federal court).
Trump pardons and commutations knocked nearly 11 years off sentences for Paul Manafort (financial crimes), Roger Stone (obstruction), and former Republican congressman Chris Collins of New York (insider trading), and he also pardoned Elliott Broidy (illegal lobbying) and Michael Flynn (lying to the FBI) before they could be sentenced.
And in part because of his quixotic quest to overturn the 2020 election, the number of years he could shave off his allies’ prison sentences could rise dramatically come 2025.
The original article contains 747 words, the summary contains 202 words. Saved 73%. I'm a bot and I'm open source!
Thanks but this isn't reddit, bot. We actually read articles here.

All Donnie had to do was spend four years playing golf and let Pence do everything. Chump was born rich and spent his whole life pissing it away.
You gotta pump those numbers up. Those are rookie numbers.
And there's a decent chance he is elected again in 2024. This country is broken.
