It's meant as a joke, but as a developer I can say, it really bugs me, how careless we as an industry got about resources.
I use my current phone for 95% the same as my 10 years old Nexus 4. Signal, Sync, Spotify, antennapod, no significant new features anywhere, yet I need to buy new phones every few years, because apps get more and more demanding.

Ah I remember the classic ram booster I used to have on XP. Clicking on the button was like injecting serotonin giving you a false sense of your pc speeding up.
