He got us dental care. That’s bigger than anything the conservatives or liberals have done for decades.

I haven’t watch this video yet, but here’s the thing. When all my local NDP reps (federal and provincial) started only talking in the central NDP talking points and even talking about the “leader”, Mulcair and then to an expanded level with Jagmeet, I checked out.

I will still likely vote NDP for the provincially our representative is pretty great, but federally the Liberals would have to nominate a brain dead 25yo white tech bro for me to vote NDP, and that’s WITH a strong NDP candidate.

Yep. The NDP is polling so low that they won't be able to split the vote to any significant amount, and now the the Liberals are ditching Trudeau they have a decent chance of staying in power and keeping the Conservatives out. That's a complete failure of the NDP's goals. The only thing worse would be if they had a leader who was popular enough to actually form a government, since that would force the NDP to actually act on their rhetoric.

The NDP's purpose is to use left-wing rhetoric to promote right-wing interests, and to do that they need to stay in the middle range of popularity; enough to damage the Liberals but not enough to actually win an election. Someone who can't do that is a failure as a leader.
