Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

Summary

Ahead of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s Senate confirmation hearings for Health and Human Services Secretary, his niece, Dr. Kerry Kennedy Meltzer, leaked private emails revealing his false claims about Covid-19 vaccines.

The emails, spanning 2020-2022, show RFK Jr. citing vaccine skeptics, linking vaccines to autism, and questioning flu shots.

Meltzer, a physician, released them to highlight his "misguided views" as senators express bipartisan concerns.

RFK Jr. dismissed her ICU experiences, alleging CDC data manipulation.

Neither Kennedy nor the Trump administration responded to requests for comment.

So he was lying to Congress? I'm shocked, I tell you, ShOcKeD! Who could see this coming?

Just hold on a second. You're telling me that RFK, a man who had been openly claiming for the past year that vaccines were responsible for autism, was secretly making false claims about vaccines for the past several years? I don't even..

Right? How is this even a blip on the radar. Dude has been spouting this and even crazier crap for a good while in podcasts and speeches and stuff. Are we supposed to be shocked when he does it in private emails too???

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

No but RFK has been saying that he isn’t against vaccines to try to get confirmed so it’s important evidence that will be ignored during his confirmation hearing

Lmao I wish this wasn't 1000% true

What I don't understand: Let's say the mercury in vaccines has 100% been proven to cause Autism. Multiple scientific studies, peer reviewed, universally accepted.

SO WHAT?

They remove it from childhood vaccines 25 years ago! It's like arguing over the health problems caused by leaded gas. No one is arguing to bring it back. Why keep bringing up the argument? The only thing it does is validate parents who don't want to get vaccines for their kids.

This guy is a public nuisance and should be someone relegated to standing outside with a sign and screaming nonsense.

Thanks to fake news empowering stupid people, he has a real shot of being in charge of the health of millions of Americans (and possibly impacting billions globally).

Fuck this guy. I don't understand how anyone bought into his presidential campaign and then donated to it, and I don't understand how he was a draw to Trump's campaign. How fucking sadistic/detached from reality do you have to be to not know from firsthand experience someone who landed in the ICU from COVID. Were those 300,000 Americans who died only related to us lefties and these rich fuckos didn't know a single one of us? If that's the case... What does that say? What does it mean that the people now in power have absolutely no connection to us, the people?

My stupid ass pastor bought into Kennedy.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago

Any insights into what the fuck is wrong with your pastor? So far I've been able to piece together the red hat mentality all comes down to being so goddamn fucking stupid that you don't even realize empathy ultimately benefits the empathetic. But the RFK Jr tempo makes frankly no sense to me at all

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

Why am I not surprised? Seriously, this is beyond stupid to me, spreading misinformation should land people in jail, free speech my ass, this is a matter of public health.

¿Remember how much Trump administration bungled the COVID response? Imagine again, but this time with his guy in charge. I see dead people.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago

Also without WHO, with this guy in charge, we will be very lucky if we won't have another pandemic in the next 4 years.
