Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council to auction dozens of properties with outstanding rates (www.abc.net.au)

Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council plans to auction 38 properties that have thousands of dollars in overdue rates owing on them.

The council's general manager says "every effort" has been made to contact the property owners, who have today been named in local newspapers alongside the amount they owe.

The auctions are scheduled to go ahead on May 2.

The properties in question can be found on the page labelled as 24 (page 26 overall) of this document if you're curious - if you know anyone listed it would be a good idea to make sure they are aware of this issue.
