Rules (interactive)

Rule 1- All posts must be legitimate questions. All post titles must include a question.

Your question subject cannot be illegal or NSFW material. You will be warned first, banned second.

Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.

Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.

Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Questions which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.

Rule 6- Regarding META posts and joke questions.

Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-question posts using the [META] tag on your post title.

On fridays, you are allowed to post meme and troll questions, on the condition that it's in text format only, and conforms with our other rules. These posts MUST include the [NSQ Friday] tag in their title.

If you post a serious question on friday and are looking only for legitimate answers, then please include the [Serious] tag on your post. Irrelevant replies will then be removed by moderators.

Rule 7- You can't intentionally annoy, mock, or harass other members.

If you intentionally annoy, mock, harass, or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.

Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

Let everyone have their own content.

Rule 10- Majority of bots aren't allowed to participate here.

Bars are notable for staying open late, but I'm not really familiar with alternatives that might operate similarly. I think many cafés (at least around my area) tend to close a few hours earlier by comparison, which would be my go-to for an alternative otherwise, so what other options are there?

You might be able to find a gym that stays open late.

Dessert places. Ice cream, waffles, all that kind of thing. There are a few around here that are always busy 10-12pm.

When I was an 18 year old high schooler, we would go to our towns bowling alley that did last call for a game at midnight. We would also go to a hookah lounge, which was open until 2am. YMMV with these, but they worked for me about 6 or 7 years ago.

Bars are loud.

I like coffee shops that stay open until 11 or 12 during the week. They typically close at 2 or so on the weekend.

There used to be this all night donut shop in Austin. Might still be, but I moved out like a decade ago.

Clubs. Activites. Local Theater. Rehearsals go to something like 10 pm quite often. They are social, fun, and you have a common goal. Drinking is not allowed.

Restaurants are also open quite late, but a dinner is more expensive, and they often turn to bars. That said there is a huge variety in bar, not all are either the start the party here before clubs open or drink all night to forget and tons are family friendly places where you can, also get a soft drink and enjoy their terrasse/garden

Denny's back when people could smoke inside were a veritable hive of scum and villainy even without alcohol.

If you're looking for late-night alternatives to bars and don't drink alcohol, consider visiting a C2 hookah lounge. These spots provide a relaxing and social atmosphere without the need for alcohol. You can enjoy a variety of hookah flavors, engage in great conversations, and unwind in a laid-back environment. Many C2 hookah lounges stay open late, offering a perfect place to chill after hours. It’s a great way to enjoy the evening with friends or even meet new people who share the same interests. So, next time you're out late and want something different, give a C2 hookah lounge a try!
