McCarthy will not return as the Cowboys head coach for the 2025 season as the two sides could not come to terms on an agreement on the length of a new contract, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported on Monday.

I, for one, welcome the chaos this will probably bring Dallas and hope McCarthy lands at another team with ownership that is less intrusive. One interesting tidbit (IIRC) is that no one has won a Super Bowl as head coach for two different teams, so it’s always interesting to see when a winning coach moves to a new team.
