"We just thought god would fix everything."

Just a thought, but maybe they shouldn't have forced women who didn't want babies to have babies.

The South Texas Republican who authored the safe haven law doesn’t take issue with those decisions. “The problem is, if you do state funding, then you’re tied to it,” Rep. Geanie Morrison explained recently when asked about an awareness campaign. “Better to have it be a local issue.”

Ah, yes, the traditional Republican chant of "I became a lawmaker because I didn't want to be responsible for anything" ....

"Other people earned a bunch of money and gave it to me. But if I had to spend it on helping those people, I might not be able to do what I want with it, which is to give it to my friends or trade it for favors. So fuck 'em."

Complete mystery, just like American gun deaths

Pro-life conservatives are obsessed with the fetus from conception to 9 months. After that, they don’t wanna know about you. They don’t wanna hear from you. No nothing! No neonatal care, no daycare, no Head Start, no school lunch, no food stamps, no welfare, no nothing. If you’re pre-born, you’re fine, if you’re preschool, you’re fucked.

For me it pops up a paywall. Maybe your ad blocker is messing up the paywall code?

[–] rickyrigatoni@lemm.ee 2 points 4 months ago

Probably. Ublock on firefox mobile seems to still have some growing pains.
