I don't like his metaphor, please allow me to suggest another:

It's like one ship is a rusted out shit bucket that is falling apart because the first-class passengers and crew refuse to pay for maintenance and it is only afloat because of a large number of buoyant corpses in steerage and boiler room. And there is another ship that is much more modern, well designed, and maintained. The new ship could help the foundering rust bucket but instead the rust bucket is trying to ram the new ship hard enough to sink them both out of spite, obstinacy, and denial. Hopefully it will tear itself apart in the attempt before it can do so.

I am sending some pirates to take over the rusty ship which will help the gentry rise over their overlords.

a great ship on the high seas, when the sextant is telling you you're going the wrong way but you keep going regardless until you slam into a sandbank and sink

It's 2023, there's no such thing as a sextant on board. It has GPS, satellite-aided early warning devices, 14-day weather forecasts, echo sounding systems and IR and UV cameras seeing through fog, and they STILL plug their ears and close their eyes and keep going through the incessant beeping and droning and wailing and blaring and flashing of a thousand red alerts

Remember that US destroyer which had all this shit, military grade, and still managed to ram civilian ship in Malacca Strait and kill some of its own crew in the process?

What do you mean we're about to wreck? Don't you see the water extending off into the distance.

Heat mirage? What are you talking about? I've never heard of such nonsense.

Bro, he is not a loser though. He is anti war and has spoken against the Western military complex and presented multiple reports from Donbass and Iran. I hold no grudges against him.

Well, I see lots of people (even socialists) that think that the path taken by the ship is good, it just needs socialism or whatever. Of course, my stance is that this path doesn't lead to socialism and a violent change of world order is necessary before it can achieved. Which might be true or false, but I see it's what you guys defend (edit: to clarify, you guys defend the same position as me, "my stance", not the first one I mentioned, "I see lots of people").
