I really hope so, it would be awesome if we could split the country up and have an area represtative devolving powers from Westminster.
Local councils have limited powers, and even those get cut systematically.
General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both [email protected] and [email protected] .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
[email protected] appears to have vanished! We can still see cached content from this link, but goodbye I guess! :'(

Don't hate me, but I find her very sexy.
As an American, my first thought when I saw the thumbnail was that she looks very British. It's hard to pin down what that means, but it's definitely a thing.
Sometimes you can just tell that somebody is going to have an accent when you see them. Granted, I doubt I remember the times I was wrong, but boy howdy do I remember when I was right.
Based on tbe upvote count lemmy seems to agree XD. I like her too, I don't think she's done much to stand out but she seems to understand what the younger generation wants (see pride march pics). I'm hoping to see what her policies would be if she ever decided to run for PM.
Oh she will. When Corbyn was leader, she was meeting Blair fundraiser, Lord Cashpoint. She's been thinking of leadership for a long time.
Cannot be trusted, but also cannot be as bad as Keir.
Lemmy be normal about women challenge, difficulty: LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE
If you think this is limited to women, you're dead wrong.
You should look at what people say about male athletes, or if you want to stick to politics, you should see comments regarding Justin Trudeau, Canada's PM. Women get just as horny as men. Shit, you should look at what people on social media were saying about Matt Hancock when he was on I'm a Celebrity - there was no shortage of thirsty women saying he could fuck them in his office/have an affair with them, which are far more sexually aggressive comments.
Sexual attraction is part of human nature. I don't think there's anything wrong with acknowledging that and openly saying you find XYZ public figure attractive.
There's plenty of people I find attractive too, and would say so out loud. I don't think that's creepy in the slightest. I also think Rayner is attractive, and a handful of other MPs. Bridget Phillipson is a pretty woman, Tobias Ellwood is a handsome man. What's the big deal?
Fair enough if the guy doesn't shut up about how he wants to fuck Rayner, that would obviously be sex-pest-y, but that's not what's happening.

Even Bristol?
Possibly it will be bundled up with some other areas, like Greater Bristol or the West of England combined authority area.
