I graduated CDL school on the third, and was given a conditional offer today to haul flatbed construction materials on a regional, dedicated route for 68 cents a mile with detention pay and tarp pay. I will be home one night a week. I feel blessed and look forward to working hard and making a good living to support my son and wife.

Welcome to the industry! You ever get annoyed just try out a different sector until something feels right. Yard dogging for me after 8 years of moving around, I'm not going anywhere. Pet peeve, straps go under the rub rail lol

I’m sure I’ll eventually understand what you mean. Unfortunately I didn’t learn what a rub rail is in school.

68 isn't bad starting pay. Good luck, stay safe. Hopefully eventually you can move to a position that gives you more time at home.
