Explanation: Theodore Roosevelt, when running for the presidency under the Progressive Party in 1912, was shot in the chest by a would-be assassin. Instead of going to get medical attention immediately, he stuck around and gave an hour-long speech before heading to the hospital to get the wound checked. Not QUITE as crazy as it seems - Roosevelt was well-educated and an avid hunter, who was reasonably certain that the wound was not in a particularly bad position. Even so, a stinging bullet in my chest would get me to call off any speech, much less an hour-long one!

Never thought of it before but Zach Galifianakis would play a great Teddy Roosevelt
Offerman is too typecast, but I think he's a better fit.
I feel like Nick Offerman would be a good choice to play him in a movie.
There are very few existing audio recordings of Teddy Roosevelt speaking. His voice had a much higher timbre than I would have expected. Way above Nick Offerman's. He would be a good choice otherwise.
You know I just looked it up and he sounds exactly how I expected him to.
