The waiting list may be very long but it says here that there is usually no cost in a public hospital as it’s covered by Medicare. If you had been wanting it but money was the barrier.

While more costly there’s also a Medicare rebate on Implanon NXT prescriptions and the Mirena iud is pretty affordable under PBS and if you have a healthcare card.

Definitely look into the risks and do due diligence, all of that. But this is the money sub.
