This post title makes it sound like Uematsu Nobuo is just some guy. ๐Ÿ˜•

You can never learn anything with these clickbait headlines.

OP, why did you editorialise the title? Much like the other commenter I was initially offended on Uematsu's behalf, but after clicking the link I noticed the original headline was:

How Final Fantasy maestro Nobuo Uematsu legitimised video game music

Just want to point out that it might not be OP's fault. The ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation, not the one folks in the US will be used to) has a habit of switching the headline depending on whether you're viewing on mobile or web. I wish they wouldn't, the clickbait headlines can be a bit of a distraction from otherwise generally high-quality articles.

No editorializing was done here. That's the title provided by the metadata, which is the easier option Lemmy provides when posting links.

I didn't realise. I'm not familiar with this site, but as already said in the other comment they apparently run different headlines for mobile/desktop. Maybe all sites do and I've just never realised.

Yeah yeah, the title is getting hate, but I think the point that he was a self taught guy that went on to make some of the greatest video game music of all time is a cool story.
