LemmyNet can do "Local Only" mode on comms now. (hexbear.net)

It makes it stop federating, so only Hexbears can use the den.

That way you don't need to ban people from out side the site, and they won't have access to it from their instance.

I don't know if you can view it while logged out or not.

Something to consider!

Excellent development. I recall a few people wanting to set up another instance that federated only with hexbear to allow for a safe space but this is a much less convoluted way to achieve that. Just need a user setting to whitelist instances allowed to send private messages now.
