I hope you don't intend to automate breakfast. It wouldn't be the same without you 😭

Automation exists so that Breakfast can remain manual.

These tradies are doing my bloody head in.

They're right above where I work and the drilling and cutting is just actually painful. I can't wait till this is over!

Edit: I had a phone call meeting, unlucky, but lucky in that he needed to reschedule so whoo! Still can't wait for the heater to be fixed, it wasn't so bad yesterday.

Oh wow, it looks like Coles has a generic version of the paper pellet litter Melbcat needs. Is that new? It’s not in stock right now and it’s still expensive but the unit cost is lower and it looks identical.

Also I forgot to buy more treats when I made that Petcircle order so I’ve added them to the cart and am waiting to see if they send another coupon 😏

Restless sleep as Zooks was snuggling and headbutting me off and on all night. So much for my planned early night to get lots of rest if not sleep.
Went outside to move the car before someone else claimed the spot as the lawn guy is likely coming today, and tidied up the last of the rubbish from the great Operation Sort Shit from the garage (well there's a couple of bits that can be heaved but my feet and hands were wet from the dew). Concerned Feline Looks were had.
Now on the couch drinking a well-deserved coffee.

Alright, I'm definitely coming down,
With whatever is going around.
I feel my body getting weaker,
Thick brain fog rolling in.
My outlook's getting bleaker,
Tired tunnels beneath my skin.
Dinner is pita bread pizza,
My rhymes are becoming slim.
Blah blah blah blah blah,
Blah blah blah blah blim.

So, we're beating /r/melbourne and this is a waste of a post. So I'm going to recommend a youtube channel called Techmoan. https://www.youtube.com/@Techmoan

2 questions:
Are most GPs okay with visits from people with cold/flu symptoms now?
And: if I get a medical certificate for a few days, but feel okay to return to work while still within the period I'm cleared as unfit for work - is there a problem with me doing so?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Not sure about the first question, but if you get a medical certificate you can't go back to work unless the doctor does a new certificate. Your employer would be breaching their OH&S responsibilities to let you work when a doctor has said you are not fit to do so.

Others have gone over the pros and cons for the second, so I'll just answer the first: my GP asks if you have symptoms, call ahead when making the appointment and arrangements will be made.
