He's not wrong.

How to tell who debate
Because once one is ahead, one doesn't do a rematch with a loser.
(Just pointing out that Rep Collins' statement can be taken multiple ways.)
why not? if he won so greatly, what does he have to lose?
Everything
That's like saying "I already won once gambling, why wouldn't I do it again". Stupid.
If winning a debate is a gamble, maybe your position isn't strong enough. If he's confident about having won this last debate he shouldn't be afraid of doing it again
If GOP means Republican party, and stands for Grand Old Party, why would you call them that when criticising them? Unless it's meant to be sarcastic.
Little known fact: it actually stands for gaslight obstruct project.
Even though I know it stands for “grand old party,” and the party certainly is not “grand” anymore, I still call it GOP. But now I just imagine it’s GOB from Arrested Development.
Im going to start pronouncing it like GOB just for that little extra bit of disrespect.
Same reason we let them call themselves "Pro Life". You use the name the group gives themselves.
I want to be known as "Pro Choice" as named by my own group. If the other group could name us, we'd be "Pro Baby Murder" or something like that.
Gotta let them name themselves if we want to do the same. Their actions put a stain on whatever name they choose, so word choice doesn't matter for long anyway.
I feel like this could go both ways though.
"I don't want to get my ass kicked again."
Or
"I already won once so why would I risk messing up with a second one?"
It seems like if you think you won, why would you want to do a second debate?
Debates = Air time = more eyes on you = more voter engagement = better odds of winning the election (if you think you benefit from more voter engagement)
Because you won. And want to do it again. Same reason Trump demanded another debate after the one against Biden.
more winning?
